I personally have not gambled for 26 years after Jesus made me free. And I personally hate the smell of smoke and cigars and pipes. Have you ever noticed that most smokers have lost their teeth or have dentures or yellow stains on the few remaining. And even their gums are darkened, and they have smokers cough and premature aging. And sometimes even their hair. clothes, bodies, and breath stinks. I will not befriend or allow any one to smoke in my house.
The bodies of the people of God are the temple of the Holy Ghost and it must be kept undefiled or God will destroy them. God has a place prepared for Satan and his angels and even all the unrepentant and defiled. And yes second hand smoke kills also. but the sinners still do smoke anyway. And I always try to stay away from smokers and those death sticks.
Thou shalt not kill is a commandment of God, which most people ignore. And so many people die each year from smoking related diseases. And smokers pollute the air and toss those butts anyplace and some have even started fires when they carelessly toss those things anywhere. And some women even smoke when pregnant and people even smoke around babies and children. And the reason the smokers crave those nasty things is that nicotine is deliberately put within them in order to keep them addicted. The average cigarette has toxins, and they are carcinogenic; Tobacco smoke contains many chemicals that are harmful to both smokers and nonsmokers. Breathing even a little tobacco smoke can be harmful. Of the more than 7,000 chemicals in tobacco smoke, at least 250 are known to be harmful, including hydrogen cyanide, carbon monoxide, and ammonia
Truly the love of money is the root of all evil. I am too grateful to Jesus for his grace and mercy on my life.
I ran a small video lottery (slot machine) business for 12 years. Our county banned smoking and it cut everyone’s business in half. Mostly because players would go to the nearest county that did allow smoking which was always a short drive for many. If people have other options the smokers will leave and their missing money will effect non smokers at the machines. Less money going in means less money coming out!
I'm always amused at the smokers who say they smoke because it relaxes them. What they don't seem to realize is that their body is addicted to nicotine and the nervousness/jitters is classic withdrawal symptoms. They wouldn't need cigarettes to relax if they had never started smoking.
Iv noticed in my lifetime that those against smoking most tend to be X smokers. I honestly don't think they are mad about the smoke as much as they are mad that they are no longer smoking and others are!
