I've been watching horses for decades and this was the most satisfying win (loss for me) I've ever seen. Look how proud his sister is of him and how beautiful she is in this moment. The parents are top notch and I'd love to have them sit with me in April at Keeneland's Spring Meet.
Watched this live yesterday, and I have never cried before after a race!! What a connection between a horse and a child – something you just can't touch or understand. Cody's sister, too, is one special story – the prior video of her reading to Cody, and then this video of her overwhelmed when Cody's Wish wins. She's so happy for her brother, and seems to understand just how special this moment is.
