  1. Before the race began I literally saw Rich Strikes chances and was like what ain’t that ironic. Not even 10 minutes later Rich Strike wins the Kentucky derby.

  2. I watched the video of the KENTUCKY DERBY to see where RICH STRIKE came…only at 5he last furlong din i saw Rich Strike by the rail and saw Jockey Sonny veered his mount to the right few seconds later bypass the two horses leading the pack…and won the race…brave jockey…brilliant handling of his mount…

  3. I love horses but whips for horses just makes me angry like what if at recess when you run someone kept on hitting you because you weren’t fast enough for tag or something like that!

  4. Mediocre crop of 3 year-olds this year. Race call – all hype. Race riding – pitiful. Nothing about this race surprised me except the odds for Rich Strike, the only futures bet entry that made sense.
Forego would have won this race by 15 lengths, despite his attempt to eat the starting gate and then scrape significant paint off the far turn rail. [ref. 1973 Derby]

  5. You realize it's come full circle. The horses favored to win the KD and the long shot winner have all qualified for the Breeders Cup and are ranked in the Top Ten Contenders. They're Epicenter, Taiba and Rich Strike. Rich Strike has entertained the fan base with arguably 2 of the most exciting finishes this year: the KD and the Lukas Classic. He's no fluke. Nor is he a horse for course. His highest Beyer of 105 was at the Travers.

  6. No one can make me believe rich strike is better than mo donegal and sonny Leon is better than irad Ortiz which they were next to each other whole race until Sonny asked rich strike and irad still wait and went 15 wide ,this is really smell fishy, zandon is good horse joel Rosario on epicenter made the move too soon if he wait 2 more second he would win by 5 lengths

  7. What's impressive about this race is how Sony Leon is trying to place his horse and how to pace his horse, he kept his cool all along. At one point, 1:32, it seemed hopeless, the horse had nowhere to go. But as soon as Leon found an opening he went for it instructing the horse where to go and then run for the line. Absolutely fantastic.
